Nadia and Carol
Nadia Comaneci - (born on 12th November, 1961 Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej (now Onesti, Romania), Romanian gymnast. The first gymnast to achieve a score of 10 in competing in the Olympics. Comaneci was first discovered by Bela Karolyi, later to be the Romanian gymnastics instructor when she was only six years old. First competing in the national junior championships in Romania in 1969, she was 13th. Then in the year 1970, she won. Three gold medals were awarded in her first competition, a junior pre-Olympic meet in 1972, which was a communist bloc countries. In 1973 and 1974, she was the junior champion in all-round competitions. She won four gold and one silver medals at her senior debut international competition which took place in the year 1975. It was the first time she competed as an older senior. The year was 1976 when she won the American Cup at the New York City Olympics and became the first woman in history to dismount the parallel bars using backwards double salto. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. When she was a teen she began her career in the entertainment industry by performing in the form of a figure skater. With her younger twin brother Nina Wayne she was part of a traveling show called Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne was a born on the 6th of September, 1942 in Chicago, Illinois. Carol was a professional in the entertainment business as a teen. Her first job was as a model skater with her sibling Nina Wayne as part of the touring entertainment show known as Ice Capades. They featured dramatic skating on ice shows.
